I am a Professional Educational Therapist (ET/P) in private practice and have been working with students of all ages who have learning disabilities or learning difficulties for over 25 years. Most of that time has been in the clinical field of educational therapy; first at the Frostig Center in Pasadena, then in private practice. My practice currently serves clients in the greater Pasadena area. I work with clients attending local public and private schools, as well as homeschool students.
Originally from the midwest, my husband and I (high school sweethearts) settled in So-Cal shortly after we were married, nearly 30 (!!) years ago. We are very blessed to have two children, two dogs, and two cats. My spare time includes spending time with family and friends, hiking, reading fiction and nonfiction, exercising, cooking, and perhaps a bit of Netflix. 🙂
Professional Credentials
I hold California teaching credentials in both regular and special education (mild-moderate) and have a Master of Arts degree in special education with an emphasis in learning disabilities. In addition, I have a post-graduate certificate in Educational Therapy. I am a professional member of the Association of Educational Therapists (AET) and previously served on its Board of Directors. I also co-founded the AET San Gabriel Valley Professional Study Group in 2004. I am very active in continuing education opportunities and truly believe learning is a never-ending journey.
